The
Ladysmith Celebrations Society is dedicating this year's
Fireworks Display to the memory, and in honour of, Bob Raappana,
a much-loved and respected man who passed away on March
20, 2008 after a 13-year battle with cancer. Although in
ill-health, Bob nobly devoted the last years of his life
to community service in many, many ways, including Ladysmith
Days. He will be sadly missed.
